Remembrance

From the liminal dark of Samhain through to the early emergence of Spring this 3 module committed ongoing group is designed to carry us through the annual death & rebirth cycle of Nature.

We are powerful multi dimensional beings having a human experience in a world that is undergoing radical change. And we are all being called to grow and embody our original essence to an extent that was not possible on this planet before.

Supported by the core movement resources of Open Floor practice and teachings from the chakra system we will explore through movement, enquiry, somatic dance and stillness, what arises for us as we engage with  the wisdom teachings of death, and the reclamation of our desires and longings as necessary for our sovereign expression and radiant rebirth.

We will look at what is shaping us, what we brace against, what medicine nature brings, and what this particular death/rebirth cycle is inviting us to embody and remember.

Module 1 - Death & Wisdom

Modern culture teaches us to fear death and darkness, yet it is in this place of deep surrender to the mystery of the formless realms that all new life is germinated and prepared for birthing into our world. Through the lens of death as life and life as death we can play with the dance of letting go and surrendering to the void, cultivating the wisdom to allow what no longer serves us to be released and transformed. Death helps us remember how to truly live.

Module 2 - Eros & Sensuality

Eros is the vital life force energy rising from the earth through the pelvic centre and experienced as the current of sensuality, longing and creative expression in human beings. It is this sensual current that fertilises the seeds of the new cycle that will become visible in the returning light of springtime, and is what we will encourage through embodied practice as we travel.

Module 3 - Desire & Sovereignty

At the root of every act of creation sits the energy of desire, moving towards what it wants, seeking to satisfy the urge to create, to become visible and manifest in this world. Many of us were conditioned to hold back our desire through a culture that taught us to deny, to judge, shame or control our wants and dreams. Our ability to engage with our own desire is intimately connected to our sense of sovereignty and our final module will invite us to embrace the flow of our sexual life force, the energy that creates our world and everything in it and fuels the rebirth of our new evolution. 

In the dance we meet the mystery of life moving through us, we practice listening and following what unfolds, this expands our capacity for presence and opens doorways to our essential self, empowering us to remember who we truly are and to align with what matters most.
